It is officially fall season! After waiting since mid August, summer is officially over. But sadly the heat is still here (in Florida at least) so here is a list of some things you can do to get into the fall mood around your house!
Watch Fall Themed Movies or TV Shows

I personally have been doing this since August, but to get into the fall mood it would not hurt to put on a movie or tv show full of fall themes! The TV show or movie would bring some fall inspiration and visualization to your household. Here is a list of movies and TV shows to watch to get into the fall mood!
TV Shows:
Gilmore Girls
American Horror Story
Charmed
Into The Dark
Black Mirror
Movies:
When Harry Met Sally
You’ve Got Mail
Practical Magic
Halloween Town
Hocus Pocus
Charlie Brown (Halloween and Thanksgiving special)
Edward Scissorhands
Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone.
Bake Fall Goodies!
What is fall without some Pillsbury Doughboy pumpkin and ghost cookies? Making fall goodies has the house smelling cozy and feeling warm whether the baked goods are homemade or not. For fall almost any baked treat goes with the season. Things like cookies, brownies, cakes, pies or anything that is a dessert can be customized to fit the fall theme. Here are a few things to check out!
Oreo and Strawberry Witch Hats
Decorating the House!

What would fall be without decorations? Almost anything can be put in your house to create a perfect fall scene, whether it is creepy or cute, almost every store has fall decorations available. You can add things like fake pumpkins, cob webs, signs, leaves and decorative pillows. You can read my article about fall decorations I put in my room for under $30! I also made a Youtube video to show you where I put things! Small things like decorating your house can really bring the fall season to life!
Light A Fall Candle!

Bath and Body Works is one of the best spots to find a candle to fit the fall season. Scents range from Sweater Weather, which smells like a rainy morning to Cinnamon Pumpkin Swirl which smells like a freshly made pumpkin pie.
Get Out the Fall Apparel!

It is time to take down those boxes full of knitted sweaters, fuzzy pants and scarfs because it will be cold before you know it! Some great things to wear this fall season include, sweaters, vintage sweatshirts, trench coats, ankle boots, loose stripped pants and turtlenecks! Any local retail store has all of these options plus more you might want to try this season!
Listen to Some “Cozy” Music!

This one will be different for everyone depending on what type of music you are interested in. But I will give some general examples. The fall season is all about being cozy, happy and stress free while having fun participating in activities that general revolve around nature. Therefore some good music to incorporate in a fall playlist includes some classical music, maybe “Peanuts Greatest Hits” by Vince Guaraldi Trio who created all of the music you hear in “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” and other classic Peanuts special episodes. If that is not up your alley songs with a chill vibe would work too. A few artists include, The Neighbourhood, Arctic Monkeys, Beach Fossils, Lana Del Rey, Lorde, Florence + The Machine, Frank Sinatra and Ed Sheeran.
