Every month I find myself listening to the same bands or songs, so I started putting together a playlist for each month. The playlist I will be talking about today is a mix of January and February. One thing I love about creating playlists for the month is that it is a collection of everything I am in the mood for so when I want to listen to music, I am pleased with anything that comes on. Here is a look into my playlist!
Queen is the first artist on my playlist this month, I grew up listening to Queen and similar artist thanks to my mom and dad but when I saw Bohemian Rhapsody in November of 2018 it resurged my love for the band and grew my interest in the band’s development and the members themselves. I included Queen’s albums “Queen II”, “A Day At The Race”, “A Kind of Magic” and “Sheer Heart Attack”. I know that’d quite a bit, but they have grown to be one of my favorite bands so I like to hear them often. A few favorites from them include, “Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy”, “Lilly of The Vally” and “Nevermore”.
Next I added Billy Joel who is also an influence from my mom. I put “The Stranger”, “Streetlife Serenader”, “Piano Man” and “52nd Street” on the playlist so I can become more familiar with his music, I am a fan of “The Stranger” and want to get more into him so I put his top songs and albums in my playlist.
Queen and Billy Joel are my top artists at the moment so they take up the most room on my playlist. But I also added some singles. Lately, I have been interested in the music from the 60’s and 70’s. So I listen to the 60’s and 70’s radio and save any song I know or like so I can grow from there.
Here is a list of the single songs on my playlist right now. (the ones in bold are my current favs)
